Pipe bridge repair
We will be replacing the damaged sewer pipe bridge near Bellside Road
We are preparing to replace a damaged sewer pipe bridge near Bellside Road in Cleland.
In order to prevent any spillage into the nearby watercourse, we have installed temporary pumps to bypass the affected section of pipework. This has required temporary traffic lights to be set up on Bellside Road until permanent repairs can be carried out.
We are planning to being carrying out the pipe bridge replacement starting Sunday 19 October 2025. This type of complex replacement has required a significant amount of design work and planning, and we hope to have the work completed in five days.
This work will require a full road closure of Bellside Road. A full vehicle diversion will be in place and pedestrian access will be maintained at all times. It will not be possible to provide access to any driveways located within the area of the road closure, but efforts will be made to provide parking as close to impacted properties as possible.
It is possible that we encounter some engineering difficulties which may require the road to be closed longer than five days.
Clancy will be carrying out this work on our behalf and will work with residents to minimise disruption.
We appreciate that the road closure will cause disruption and thank the community and road users for their patience and understanding while we complete these essential works.
