Thurso Water Main Upgrade
Overview
We are taking care of the water services in your community by upgrading 11.7km of water pipes in Viewfield, Janetstown, and Newlands of Geise to ensure you continue to enjoy clear, fresh drinking water, and reduce the chance of pipes bursting.
The work is expected to take place between April 2023 until Summer 2025.
The work is being carried out by our alliance partner, Caledonia Water Alliance (CWA). CWA will be using a sub-contractor, GMR Henderson, and they will do all they can to keep disruption to a minimum.
Their site compound is located near the Jet Garage on Ormlie Rd, Thurso, KW14 7DR.

What to expect?
Most of the work will be carried out in rural land, however, there will be some sections of work required in roads and road verges.
Roadworks may be required during the period of work. This may include the use of temporary traffic lights, localised road closures and some access restrictions.
Advance signage will be in place ahead of any work in roads. Our site team will liaise with any customer whose access may be restricted during the works.
Your water supply and drainage services from your kitchen and bathroom will not be affected by our work.
