The upgrade work will see the construction of a new substation building.
What We Are Doing
The project will involve the construction of a new substation building near the Turret Burn on the access road up to the Water Treatment Works - as a result local residents may notice an increase in construction traffic on the Hosh Road and the access road, with an increase in truck movements on a number of days during three construction phases.
Our site team will manage the construction traffic to minimise any disruption to local properties and letters have been issued to those that may be impacted.
The three construction phases will take place over the following dates:
• Phase 1 26/08/24 – 23/09/24 (13 days of truck movements within this time period, with an average of 4 truck movements per day)
• Phase 2 21/10/24 – 05/12/24 (15 days of truck movements within this time period, with an average of 2 truck movements per day)
• Phase 3 17/03/25 – 06/06/25 (12 days of truck movements within this time period, with an average of 3 truck movements per day)
Water supplies will not be affected by this work.
