Manse Street Water Treatment Works
As part of our £30 million investment in the water network supplying Galashiels, Selkirk and the surrounding area we will be decommissioning our Manse Street Water Treatment Works to the west of Galashiels which is coming to the end of its serviceable life.
The works abstracts water from the Caddon Water which has been identified as being negatively impacted by our operations during dry spells.
Work is starting in May 2023 for around 6 month to the existing works ahead of its decommissioning. This work includes additional pipework, ducting and chambers as well as concrete slabs for new control and MCC kiosks.
