Waste water upgrades

We are improving the waste water network in Gulberwick

What We Are Doing

We are investing in the sewer network for customers in Gulberwick. The improvement project involves the construction of four new septic tanks and associated chambers and pipework.

The works, which are taking place in an area accessed from a road located off Langton Road, opposite Gulberwick Village Hall, also involve the renewal of a section of the existing outfall pipe and improvement works to the existing access road and junction. The existing pumping station will be demolished.

Vehicular access along the access track towards the beach at this location will be restricted for the duration of the works. Pedestrian access will be maintained.

The planned work to renew a section of the existing outfall pipe will be tide dependent which may require some works to be done out with normal working hours. Construction traffic will access the site from Langton Road during the work.

Why We Are Doing It

We are carrying out these improvement works to ensure we continue to meet the needs of our customers, now and into the future.

These works will also help protect the local environment.
